there's never a small boy around when you need one...

I remember when my sons were small always having to stop and gaze at tractors, diggers, workmen (daughter had no interest in these things - nature or nurture?)

Big excitement through my bedroom window today:

left hand branch already gone

*phew* the pigeon's favourite spot is still there!

both of mine would have been outside hasseling the workmen! small boy would have demanded a blow by blow account of what they where doing and why and small girl would have been trying to climb the tree, eat it or lick the pigeon! your welcome to borrow them by the way!

Luckily the tree is the other side of the fence - but it doesn't sound as if that would have deterred your intrepid pair.

There is a large oak (I think) tree I can see from my bedroom window - neither of my boys were impressed watching the tree surgeon at work, but I was! I know he took loads of branches out because I watched him, yet when he had finished the tree still had its same lovely shape and you wouldn't know he had been.
