It's definitely spring!

Some of us are busy making babies:

Not entirely sure the frogs realise the pond isn't the size of a young lake, but we spotted 15 frogs busily doing what comes naturally. 14 of them swam away when they saw me.

some of us are still searching for our dream home:

We just want our mums :-)

Are you my mum?

No, you're not. Mum? Where are you?

My final photo comes with lots of warnings and disclaimers! We were on a public footpath, we did not approach the sheep or disturb her in any way by straying off the path, and we told a farm labourer what we'd spotted....

you might not want to look if you're squeamish or eating your lunch...

but this mummy sheep is just doing as nature intended...

WARNING...adult content (if you're a frog, that is!)

You remember the frog spawn in my pond ?

Well, I just sent husband out into the wintry showers to fetch some logs.

"Quick, come quick!" he called.

When you've stopped spluttering, please scroll down and

I'm going to be a granny!

Bet that got my kids' attention!

When I looked out of the window this morning I had to rush straight out to the pond...

Our first frog spawn of the season!

Last year was our first spring as "pond owners" and I was worried that the frogs wouldn't find us. They did, of course. Must have been the signs I put up eveywhere...

Some of last year's tadpoles "forgot" to change into frogs, and were still swimig around, legless, in November. No sign of them now, however.

Can't wait for my new babies to arrive!
