Moving house again - buy one get one free!

Our year in Herne Bay is almost over, and we're about to relocate to Littlehampton on the south coast.

Rather than pack all those knits, I'm offering you the opportunity to buy one, get one free!

I have removed all the duplicate listings across Folksy and Etsy (I hope!!) unless I actually have two of whatever-it-is, so there are some different pieces in each shop.

All are ready to ship, first come first served.

You can either buy both pieces and I will refund the price of the lowest-priced item through paypal, or you can buy one and message me to let me know which second piece you'd like as your freebie. There is a risk that someone else will buy it in the meantime, so please let me know a second choice just in case.

You can mix and match between shops if it helps! This offer will run until the weekend. I will be shutting both shops after the weekend and concentrating on packing - see you from our new house!

Royal Wedding *again*

It took me a bit longer to restyle Kate, because I needed supplies - and of course the shops were shut!

I'm pretty pleased with the new version. I've added lace to the front of her skirt and all around the edge of the train, sleeves and bodice of course - given her hair, and a tiara and a much finer veil. Flowers are tiny white beads sewn to a leaf-green crochet base. *phew*

The real challenge was getting the veil/tiara combo to work whether the veil was forward or back, that took much head-scratching!

Knit long and prosper

First of all - I'm sorry! I know I've been neglecting my blog, but I hope you'll agree it's been worth it. I've been busily updating and restocking all my Trekkies, and adding a few new ones. Why? Well, because it's been Star Trek weekend on TV and I've watched ALL the old movies. I am officially all trekked-out...at least until the next time.

Without further ado then...here's the Next Generation!

Back row: Worf, Data, Geordi, Riker
front row: Deanna Troi, Dr Beverly Crusher, Wesley Crusher, Captain Picard

Data has had an upgrade, I found some yellow shiny beads which look much better as his unusual eyes. Geordi's visor has also been upgraded - and young Wes is just adorable!

Seven of Nine has also been upgraded - I think you'll be able to spot her new "attributes" in the Voyager team photo:

Chakotay is certainly showing increased interest in her new "staff profile" but Janeway and Tuvok look less than impressed.

Still just two Deep Space Nine Meerkats, Kira and Dax (so much yarn, so little time...where have I heard that before?)

I'm an old-school Trekkie at heart though...so I'll leave you with my Original Series Meerkats. Live long and prosper! All *20* Meerkat Trekkies available from my Zibbet store.

My *other* new meerkats!

Happy New Year! I've been working on the X-Men Meerkats - who shall I do next?

I'm sure they don't need introducing, but from left to right we have Wolverine, Rogue, Gambit and Cyclops.

Clearance Sale!

Etteam are holding monthly critiques and I was lucky enough to be given the treatment a few weeks ago.

My friends gave me lots of constructive criticism alongside positive feedback, and after giving it all some thought I've decided to make some changes.

The *BIG* change is in emphasis: I'm going to spend much more time developing my meerkats - and to do this, I'm having a clearance sale to make room in my shops.

Today's thrilling installment: could it be magic?

Look mum - the Meerkat's got new clothes!

Unlike the Emperor though, these clothes are real.

My meerkats have been lounging around nekkid for far too long. Ok, the trekies are "sort of" clothed - but they never go off duty and can't take their uniforms off.

*trumpet fanfare*

May I introduce to you - meerkats who can get dressed! (No, not without help, that would be magic)

*puts on Miss World commentator voice* Our model is wearing an haute couture frock in two tones of purple which fastens with heart shaped beads.

She is accessorised with a toning shoulder bag in which she keeps the daily requisites of a meerkat gal about town. Her escort, Luke SkyMeerkat has his light sabre at the ready to defend her honour.
