We have several collared doves visit the garden - this one has decided to set up housekeeping in the corner of my neighbour's guttering. As you can see, she only *just* fits! Goodness only knows what will happen when it rains, or if she actually manages to hatch some chicks!

They are such lovely birds, though I have to say it's fun (*not*) when they coo down the chimney shortly after dawn; that happened to us in the wee small hours this morning, explains why we're feeling so dopey now...
We have a pair regularly roost in our lime tree and they never cease to amuse with their antics!
Linden they are such dopey birds themselves. We had a just-fledged pair visit to bathe in our pond regularly, their heads are the lastto get feathers so they look as if they have had buzz-crops!
